Dark Green Polyps with short and and sometimes knobbed tentacles are often encrusted with sediments and particles. The tentacles and oral openin may contrast in color with rest of animal. Oral discs are broad and flat, and spokelike striations are common patterns of the discs. They product palytoxin. Pacific tribes use this on their spears to paralyze prey and enemies.
